SPRING BREAK

Dear Friends (vintage and new),

The first half of our Spring semester is coming to a close. I hope your midterms are going well and you are getting ready for an exquisite break somewhere in the world.

Although I only started this blog a month and a half ago, I would say that it has already been pretty successful (at least for me). I began this blog to get rid of some extra clothes and to make some extra money. I have done just that. I will be putting up some more of my over-flowing closet after Spring Break. Hopefully, more people will begin to contribute their clothing. We need variety!

After the break you will begin to see advertisements for Vassar Vintage around campus and this little online trading store will begin to grow and grow.

While you are away, it might be a good time to do some Spring cleaning in the basement, attic or the closet of your ma, pa or sister. Find what you do not want, take some pictures, give a description, name your price, include your email address and send to: vicki.marquette.vassarvintage@blogger.com

It is so easy and you will make money!
Recycle. Reduce. Reuse.

Yours Truly,
Vicki

Pink and white lace corset-- 34C-- Never been worn.

I bought this little number in Italy a few years ago and never wore it. I was trying to break out of just wearing earth tones, but the truth is... I may never escape the earth tones. I envy those of you who can pull off pink.

So, for $18, it's yours.

Email me if you have any questions. Vicki.marquette@gmail.com

American Apparel Pink Leotard-- size small

Yo dudes. Here are three American Apparel leotards of differing variety.

Have a nice weekend.

UPDATE: The brown and the blue leotards have been SOLD. BUT... The pink one is still available!

1950's Purse made by "Vassar" (?) found on Etsy

And yet again I have found something marked "Vassar" on Etsy.

The description read
s, "Genuine Vassar Tortoise Doctor Clutch Bag Purse Tote Leather." Whoa.

It is being sold for $75, but it looks pretty nice and pretty fancy.

Somebody needs to buy it, I can't afford it.

Somebody tell me, was "Vassar" like a brand name for leather purses back in the 50's? Does anyone know the history on this lost purse designer known as Vassar?
